PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
AT THE,
REGULAR MEETING, HELD DEC. 12, 1888.
NORMAN UNIVERSITY, NORMAL, ILL., Dec. 12, 1888.
The Board of Education met in the reception room of the University, at 9 o'clock A. M. The President, Mr. E. A. Gastman, in the chair. The following members were found to be present: Messrs. Benedict, Gastman, Greene, Harrington, Raab, Rosseter, Sandham, Walker, Edwards, Mrs. Feitshans and Mrs. Young. Absent. Messrs. Slade, Dodge, Cope and Knickerbocker. On motion, the reading of the minutes of the preceding meeting, held June 27, 1888, was dispensed with. Dr. Hewett, the President of the University, then read his report, which was referred to the Committee on Teachers and Salaries:
